Stuffed Cup Cakes

Star of the blog today.... Strawberry and Fudge Chocolate Cupcakes
stuffed with Cream Cheese and Milk Chocolate Cream!

The other day, while brainstorming different ways to stuff cakes and plotting out my next creative confectionery move, I came to thinking about an apple corer. What a perfect shape to scoop out just enough inside, without disturbing the peaceful beauty of a tiny cake in a cup.
My one dollar investment  proved to be well worth it. I was even left with the tiny treats of the center of the cake, extracts.  I used a disposable pastry bag with a medium size tip to get the filling neatly in place.  Before the frosting even hit the cakes I think the cakes look cute and inside-out. With this rich of  a filling the cakes could shine even uncovered by even sweeter frosting.

While stuffing a cupcake may not be groundbreaking or new, the endless possibilities of flavors and fillings certainly is motivating.
As far as these cakes were concerned a rich buttercream
top finished them off, and with that
LaLa Cake booked our first cupcake wedding date!!

So the ordinary turned extraordinary
and LaLa Cake is on the job!
